Our Oceans
Sun Stained Waters

I stand alone on a weathered pier
Sighing with the old corroded beams
Broken in two, the oceans stretch
Pulling at both hands from cross the depths

Shimmering on the edge
A promise in dawn’s caress
The sun stained waters glow

Those beloved shores, left behind
Draped beneath a cloak of dying light
Washing away, into the blue
I trust we have to sink before we bloom

Shimmering on the edge
A promise in dawn’s caress
The sun stained waters glow
A smile across the ocean

Shining on the edge
Purple and gold caress
The sun stained waters glow
Calling me home

So I take this step, and choose to fall
The winds will catch me in their arms
And leave me where the sun stained waters smile

Shimmering on the edge
Memories in dawn’s caress
The sun stained waters glow
And I know…

Deep blue love, you’ll always shine above
